The IMPACT Cross-Sectional Study

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated socioeconomic deficiencies within Canada's immigrant populations, yet the difference between immigrants from countries with similar language and resources (such as US) those a different background (non-US countries) is not well understood. Accordingly, IMPACT study at centre of this article included Canadian national survey that compared key domains life in US non-US to provide policymakers research-based path toward delivering culturally targeted socially competent services.
 Methods: Potential participants were recruited newcomer support services centers complete which assess participants' self-perceived impacts on various markers. For each variable, we analyzed experiential differences vs subgroups. 
 Results: On average, Canada less likely disclose their health status; trend was correlated reported concerns over discontinuation one’s income. Qualitative themes subgroup elucidated mentality “making it [one’s]own”, consequently, reluctance seek out external resources. Surprisingly, subject comparatively greater post-pandemic decrease well-being, resulting proportionally food financial insecurities than immigrants. Conclusion: highlighted two findings: (1) faced increased instability well-being; whilst (2) social intrapersonal barriers supports experienced incidence infections, cohorts miss employment
